As a teacher, therapist, caregiver or other professional, we all have that one child in our classroom that simply does not fit into a textbook definition of an individual with special needs or one who is neurotypical.

 Even where a diagnosis exists and we have had experiences in the past working with individuals with the same diagnosis, we still find ourselves hitting a brick wall as we try to understand and provide the best instruction and service.

I have been there. We have all been there at one time in our professional career or the other when the information in our textbooks do not provide us with specific skills that we need to provide intervention or help that child learn better.
